Wise Old Tony

Entry in a 100-words-or-less story contest,
which had to include a quotation from a famous poem.

Wise old Tony, tough, beautiful Dmitri, busy, nervous Louise — they lived in this gigantic loft, went out for sex, stayed home for love and the little spoon. And movies, Netflix on the big TV.

In the car, Louise told them she was pregnant. 'Frat boy?' asked Dmitri. Louise said, 'What are we gonna do?'

Dmitri said, 'We can't marry frat boy.'

'Stop the car', said Louise. She got out.

The way she looked back once, they knew they'd never see her again.

Tony took everything out of the glove compartment, threw it in the street. 'Drive,' he said.
